H50 ammo box, 1944, what stores were they used with?

I’ve just picked up a nice H50 metal box, in brown paint and dated 1944. Anyone any idea what types of stores this was designed for? Presumably .303 but what else?

many thanks, Dave

Originally designed to hold 2 H51 wood/metal boxes. Contents were .303 Ball, Boxed, Belted and in Bandoliers. 7.92 ball, boxed and mixed belt. .22 rimfire, in cartons and 9mm ball in cartons. There were probably other variations on a theme, like the above but in Tracer, may be A/P etc. Post war they were used for all sorts...
Cheers Gary
