Can anyone tell me the origin of this 84x618R cartridge case?
I think the photos are self-explanatory.
The primer is possibly British? And the stencilled T within an arc looks British too.
Had this for a few years and ran this question past ECRA but had no response.
Thanks very much for any help

South African without a doubt. The "A" on the primer with date is Armscor.

Thanks gentlemen,
That makes sense as there is a steady stream of South Africans emigrating to New Zealand.
Can't imagine why...

Nice find. I have never seen any South African large calibre rounds. Apparently the South African governent destroys alot of surplus items. They are also funny about what you can take out of the country.

The South Africans copied alot of British markings. I have a SA made 20x139 Round with very British style markings. It even has the "T" in the red semi-circle for the tracer.
