Darren

Well-Known Member
I know nothing at all about this fuze and have never seen one before. Any info at all would be great.

This fuze is stamped: 93230 42-M 1-84

Thanks,
Darren

This is the Soviet 9E230 time fuze for 90mm illuminating rocket 9M41 used on the armored reconnaissance vehicle PRP-3.

The "3" behind the "9" is the cyrillic letter "E", have a close look it is no "3".

Hi EOD, thanks for the info. Yes you are correct as on closer inspection i now notice the 3.

Do you have any info/diagrams of the insides and its workings? Also any info/diagrams of the rocket itself?

Thanks again
Darren

MrFuze, no the 9M41 is only used with the special launcher on the back of the PRP-3 vehicle which looks like a mortar. It could be loaded from the breech end from inside the vehicle and was also layed from inside.

The RPO fires an entirely different rocket which is adapted to this system (you have one).

Here what I have in the manual for the vehicle:

Have somewhere the manual for the rocket itself but can't find it in my chaos.
