I have never seen one of these before!

Hi All,

I picked up this lot of Japanese Bomb fuzes recently, and the tall one I have never come across before!

It is the B-2(a) tail bomb fuse for a Type 99 No25 250kg Ordinary aerial bomb.
The matching nose fuze [A-3(a) Type 97 Mk2 Model 2] is next to it on the LHS.

The one on the far left is the popular B-3(a) Type 15 tail fuze Model 2 Mod1.

The small one in front is the Type 100 mortar fuze (first one I have come across) and the other is a "tasty" Type 88 with shipping container.

Enjoy!

Cheers
Drew

Thanks Mate!

The thread on the B-2(a) appears more appropriate for the Sydney Harbour Bridge - actually reminds me of the dummy gaine plug thread that Olafo posted a while ago.

There were three variations of this - the one shown with the brass locking screw is the more common one.

The type 100 mortar fuse still has the metal disc, although it is missing the external selector for the "Instantaneous /Delay" setting.

I guess it is the old law of averages - you gotta get lucky sometimes!
Cheers
Drew
