It appears that after the introduction of the L118 Light Gun in the mid 70s, which used 105mm FD ammunition, we still had substantial stocks of 105mm How. ammunition which was not compatible with the L118. Thus, the L119 was introduced which was a L118 that could use 105mm How. ammunition. Apparently, in British service the L119 was only used by the Royal School of Artillery for training, which probably explains the "Training" annotation on the container.
