Hi,

I'm hoping that some one can tell me what shell this is please, the date first used and the gun? I'm thinking it's German as it has a Dopp.Z 91 fuse in it,

also the color and any stenciling on it please?

It's 85 mm diameter,
193 mm long, with out fuse.
driving bands are 10 mm wide and the lower is 5 mm and its 14 mm from the base, which is concaved,
Fuse thread 45 mm.

Thanks grapeshot

It look's like a German 9 cm Schrapnell 91 shell.
But the diameter of this shell is 8.8 cm and the length without the fuze 19.4 cm.

Will have a look for documentation.

Rergard,
