It a french detonator and gaine for 120mm an above steel gaine Mle 1895
Fuze used with this gaine is Percution 30/55 Siege et Montagne
 
Thanks Doctor. Do you have any diagrams as to how it is attached or fixed? Or does it just sit in the gain pocket as there are no exterior screw threads on it.

Thanks Doctor, so it really is that simple! I have never seen one of these before, relic or otherwise, so does that mean that they normally worked well or is it just an uncommon item?

here three type of HE detonator gaine used in the gaine 1895
That of the center is without delay, that of right-hand side with delay
These gaine come from shells of the beginning of war neutralized having had failures on impact target
