Hi Peter,
only a guess but I would think the white scarecrow would be for scareing birds off of airfields?

Flashbang!

The only "scarecrow" rounds I have seen produce a big bang.

Could this one be an illuminator that produces a brilliant flash accompanied by a big bang I wonder??

Very nice set of cartridges fotomanx

they are signal rounds from a 1.5 inch flare gun.

i was taught the ranges and candella they produce etc but im afraid i have forgotten! typically they illuminate at between 100-300m in height and are fired at either a 45 degree angle or vertically.

dont remember any mention of the white scarecrow though, possibly just the weapon that is used to fire them?

Hi,
there are signal cartridges from the netherlands. They are used by the air force in the 1,5" signal pistol Schermuly

Best regards
Horst

For JNS I have J.N Schuurmans Leeuwaarden and JNS Pyrotechniek B.V.
Which one is the correct manufacturer for these?
