Hi Guys,

I found this while rooting through some of my stuff, any information about it would be great.

Please excuse me if this is a daft question, i am pretty new to all of this. As you can see this has no firing pin mark, is it safe?

Its a French 7.5x54
Dated Feb 59
Made by Cartoucherie de Toulouse
Case made by Campagnie Francaise des Metaux, Serifontaine

When in doubt Assume the primer is live.... have a professional look at it.....

Darren,

Deleted - as I was totally wrong - I thought it might be Swiss 7.5 x 55

If you have just a cartridge in your possession and are unsure wether the primer is inert,,take it to a gunsmith/licensed firearms dealer and ask them to look at it for you and if necessary inert it
