They have two guns. One is a pedestal mounted 1 1/4 Pr in fine working order.

The other is a 1 Pr. It is jammed in the breach block moving to the rear position. The suspition is that there is a problem with the fuzee spring. Does any one have information showing that part off, or how to remove it. A picture would be great.

jambed 1pr

Sorry dont have any real info on the 1pr but my 1915 handbook on the 2pr and 11/2pr has a bit on failures not sure if that would help and on the various diagrams I can find no reference to a fuzee spring. Maybe the scanned pages will help along with some oil. 2pr

You have an original handbook !

Is it complete and how many pages. So far I know the 1902 version which may not be complete ?

handbook

Was it any help?
the hand book is for the 40mm 2-pdr and the 37mm 11/2pr vickers automatic guns MKII and MkI respectively. All there in fair condition, and tucked in the front were 3 typed pages headed drill for 2pdr pom pom. 30 pages plus XX111 (23) diagrams. 2pr

i thought being a maxim togle lock system of operation that any maxim internal diagram might help . just a thought. Darrol.

True

Something is causing it to stick, might have to do with the cased spring on the right side, but no information on safe removal. I haven't actually looked at it.
