Japanese Army Battery Comanders Anemometer

BOUGAINVILLE

Well-Known Member
Hi,

Here is one of my latest acquisitions. It is a complete Imperial Japanese Army Anemometer complete with monopod and original IJA acceptance paperwork dated August 1941.
The Anemometer was made by A. Nakamura in July 1941.

These anemometers were used by battery commanders to find wind speed and direction for use in artillery computations.

Cheers,
BOUGAINVILLE

I agree very nice piece of kit thanks for taking the time and trouble to share it with everyone.
You dont see too much Japanese kit over here in the UK, in my experience it seems to appear more frequently in the US and Australia/NZ

always interesting to see such items - thankyou
