Japanese Type 38 Field Gun Ammunition Box

BOUGAINVILLE

Well-Known Member
Hi,
This just arrived the other day. It is a really good example from the Taisho era it is dated Feburary 1913. This ammunition box from the Tokyo Arsenal before the stacked cannon balls logo was used by Kokura. It contained two 75mm shrapnel rounds for the Type 38 Field Gun.

The inscription on the lid reads;

Type 38 Field Gun
Shrapnel Round Container Box

Cheers,
BOUGAINVILLE
