Hello.
Has anyone used the above site before? I was looking at a couple of their auctions for smaller items (watches, compasses etc). All items listed are sold as seen. Has anyone got any info on what type of condition bits and bobs are in from here, working order?

Any help would be great. Interesting site though

Also known as Witham Specialist Vehicles Ltd

i had some experience of witham s v about 4/5 years ago, wasnt impressed at all to be honest ,i saw from an add in gunmart magazine they had some prac 84s for sale so as i was in the area i called in to see about buying one,,i was very sharply told they didnt do sales to people off the street..It didnt say that in the advert.
Things may have/hopefully changed but i will never do business with them

Please Note this is from my experience/views and others may have had non negative experience with WSV

Thanks Spotter. I sent them an email enquiring, they seemed OK but were reluctant to state the condition of any of their items. I may just forget it then in that case. Thanks for the heads up.

EWHithams Pos/Neg

Whithams will be found at every Beltring selling their wares and are usually located on the left hand side of the tented/sales area nearest the entrance buildings.
At one time they had a huge amount of ordnance for sale and among the bits and bobs were 120 mm BAT Drill rounds, 84mm CG Drill rounds 40/60 Bofors in clips and a small selection of fuses mainly PD M557 along with a few instuctional items.
I have done business with them in the past and had both negative and positive results, the negative all being with one of the managers/owners (always the same guy with a neg outlook) and the positive being with another member who would at least entertain a "deal" resulting in me walking away with a minter MT/SQ M520 instructional fuse and a few quid left in my pocket too !
Choose who you try to deal with as you will soon know who will do a deal and who will not.
Always best to hope that want you want is still there on the sunday as they would rather sell at a reduced price than take it home again!
Good hunting.

Thanks mate. I have thought about it and may just put a set bid on one of their auctions, not an expensive one, and see how it goes. If it turns out to be a no go, then I won't lose as much.
I'll post my results in a week or two.
