Mortar bomb ID needed please

I've had this for a while now and never got around to identifying it.

It measures approx 295 mm high, and the diameter at the widest part is approx 81mm (so presumably an 81mm type!)

Markings are,PAS 1932 52 45 PAM 56 on the body.
FA 32. FO.41.48 on the fins.
MNB-58-51 on the fuze pocket.

It looks like there should be some kind of adapter tyhat screws into the fuze pocket for the fuze to screw into, but this is missing.

All help appreciated!

Cheers,
Andy

I'm thinking possibly French 81mm???...... but I'm no expert, so it would be better to get positive ID from someone who knows this area better!!
regards
Kev

It's french mortar bomb smoke training round with inert load weight inside and around the smoke gaine
On cylindric gaine there's another gainer for fitting RY 17 fuze (without detonator)

I though the French smoke rounds had plugged holes around the body? Was this not the case on all of their smoke mortars then?

Thanks doctor.
So I need an adaptor to be able to attach a fuze to the mortar?

Sorry, I don't known
I'm not a collector, therefor I'm not the good man to answer on your question.

Yes that helps thanks,it shows where the adaptor screws into the gaine.

Cheers,
Andy

On this first pic you can see the mounting of the gaine and the adaptor for the fuze. It is not the same projectile, but the mounting is similar (same gaine).
second pic, the fuze you need to have for your exercice projectile.

Hello Andy,
I bought this 'Sawn off' 81mm mortar round last year and cleaned it up, de-rusted and lacquered the inside. The propellant cartridge is marked in French and 81mm. It's been chromed and copper plated, I use it as a flower vase!
Cheers,
Guy.
