From what I gather all No.36 grenade boxes, whether they be hand or rifle, came with 'seven second' fuzes ... and during the Battle of France the British troops expressed frustration at this length of burn. This led to the 'four second' fuze.
Does anyone have any dates on the introduction/disappearance of the various fuzes in service?
Thanks.
