No15 Grenade details

wemme

Well-Known Member
Hello,
I recently purchased a no15 ball grenade.
Does any one have any details on this grenade?
I already have the information from lexs site
http://www.lexpev.nl/grenades/europe/unitedkingdom/no15.html
I am looking for photos/drawings on marking and fuse assembly.
I have one with CB on the flat fuse area does anyone know who the maker is?
I would also be interested in any information about the history of the no15s.

Regards
Bart

Thank you Paul for taking the time to scan that in.
I see that is says the grenade was in the confidential lists and not much information was available.
if anyone has any more please feel free to add to.

No 15 Grenade WOLC Para

No15 Gren Cof Para.jpgThis is the Confidential Paragraph referred to in the Shrivenham Pamphlet on Grenades.

Thanks everyone for you information.
I have seen some (perhaps on Pauls page) with red and pink bands. Was this the genuine/normal marking scheme?
What was the cloth pull tab made from?
Was the lead cap like a formed cup that was then crimped on? How did it stay on?
Regards
Bart
