Attached are a few photos of a factory sectined Oerlikon fuze.
Does anyone have any information on what type of projectile it would go in also, how would it work? Does anyone have a line drawing of the fuze they can post please.
All INERT, the brown inserts in the fuze that represent the explosive in the gain are tufnel.
Thanks.
Dave.

Dave, as per the internal construction it should be one of the Oerlikon rocket fuzes (likely for the 81mm MLRS or air to ground). Unfortunately I have no further details. There exists at least one Oerlikon product catalog whith all kinds of fuzes in it - unfortunately I do not have it.

Thanks EOD, I hadn't considered a rocket fuze.
Does anyone else have more information on this please?
Dave.

The fuze (MZ 50) was used for the 8cm (81mm) Oerlikon HE air to ground rocket, Swiss designation 8cm Oerlikon Rakete Stahlgranate Momentanznder. The rocket was deployed with the Hunter Mk 58, DH100 and DH-112 Aircraft.8 cm Oe Rak St G MZ 50.jpg
