Plug Firing No 32 ?????????

The thread appears to be right handed and there appears to be a taper seat to the underside of the top - therefore nose fuze.
The N2 - denotes Naval and Arabic numeral 2 places it 1945 onwards.
The length of the intrusion would suggest a projectile that was capable of taking a proximity or multi-role fuze.
Alas, I can't advise as to which projectiles it was used with.

standard 2" thread
You are correct :bigsmile:, I also found a tiny Broad Arrow mark on the base. It is the
standard 2" fuze thread and as a test I screwed it into a 60pr - fits just fine.
I thought it was finer D'oh :tinysmile_hmm_t:~ So maybe it would fit any late or post war Navel 4.5" or
larger projectile with a lot of depth for a proximity fuze.
It's in the family of a plug I posted recently; Plug Firing No14 Mk3 N -
only that one was short like a regular shipping plug.
It does not fit the 3"MK34 probert type projectile.
The term "Plug Firing" I presume means for practice shooting puposes, not just shipping ?
The stem seems longer than fuzes I viewed online but most examples didn't seem to be post war.
The stem might also include a booster charge adding to the length. Maybe some one has an example
of a 1960s or thereabouts fuze to compare. This example has some weight to it.

If some one here can use these plugs in thier collection I"m not
married to them as they are a bit modern for me and might
help complete something elsewhere. The long one is heavy.
