Here's an interesting document i forgot i had, giving the instructions for determining the range of 1 WW rifle grenades by using a wooden ruler and small rubber rings that fitted onto the rods. i'm sure i've seen a pic of the ruler somewhere on here but i cant locate it. anyone got a picture of it? and maybe the original rubber rings??
cheers, Paul.

That's interesting Paul.

I've seen notes from a 1916 Grenade course where they showed how to extend the range of a rifle grenade by changing how much rod was in the barrel. I'll see if I can find a copy. I think your note is later, maybe when thinks formalised?

I would like to know how accurate this was , against just elevating the Rifle barrel for distance.
very interesting would love to see a photo of a Rule.
