Two earlier MK II grenades with base fill plug. One is intact with fuze and plug, the other is open at both ends. Both have 40 segments.
Type 91 Japanese grenade, 6.5mm and 30 Cal projectiles, partial shell casings and pieces of a stripper clip. All items recovered to be donated to the Bamban WWII Museum and/or Philippine Veterans Memorial and Historical Division for display. Any ideas on the steel ball? It has a depression, possible hole visible in the photo. The only reference I can find for Japanese "Shrapnel" ordnance is for 7 and 12 cm artillery shells and they used lead balls.
