Russian 122 mm ILL projectile base plate with one hole.
Please help ID. Strange base plate with one hole.
There are cutaway ILL projectile S-4 and other inert similar ILL projectile, which had strange base plate with only one hole. I cannot find other difference and measurments between theese projectiles except holes in base plates.Cutaway was produced in 1979 and strange base plate was produced 1985.Both plates are bolted inside projectile with thread, pins are not used.
So there are 2 version of russian 122 mm S-4 (C-4) ILL projectile?? New and old??
According russian manuals S-4 projectile base must have 2 holes.
Did somebady seen before that base plate in russian 122 mm ILL projectiles??
Somebody knows other 122 rus ILL projectiles??
P.S. That projectile with strange base plate is not S-462 and S-463.
Sorry about my language.
