S mine-35 Cut-Away I Made

Here is a S-mine cut away I made a few weeks ago......it was also fun to do. It is probably not "correct" in the colors used for the internal parts, but I'm pretty happy with it, I can always change the internal colors.
Now when a friend wants to see how a famous "Bouncing Betty" works, I don't have to start taking this one, or the other I have apart. Enjoy the pics.

Cut-Away Grenades

Here are also some pics of 4 cut-away grenades I did also, while I was burning up the dremel tool.

A crazy Dutchman friend gave me the relic WW2 RG42 and F1 a while back, and they looked like they were sand or bead blasted, and then sprayed with clear lacquer or something. Could not figure what to do with them, they were not orig. anymore, and the RG42 had some holes on one side, and also a couple holes punched in bottom from inerting. The egg was a relic.
The US Mk2 pineapple is an old HE grey grenade from 30's, that apparently had a low charge filling, and just exploded in half. It has a repro ignitor-det, that a friend made, and one of those aluminum so called "experimental" fuze body-bouchons. Other parts are WW2 era. I epoxied a steel plug in place, with small hole drilled in the bottom. The grenade just slips onto the screw in the wood, so you can remove and fondle  the grenade if wanted. Then mounted the grenade on a nice piece of exotic "leopard wood".

Enjoy the pics.

Good effort Steve, I like seeing different cutaways, its gives me ideas for the ones I occasionally do. I'm half way through doing an SD2 and using the old hacksaw gets really addictive!!
Dave.

Although I have mixed feelings on cutting up ordnance, I must say an excellent job, but not my cup of tea...Dano

What cutting disks do you use for your dremel? My ones seem to run down after cutting a beer can in two, but they don't look half as nice as your disk there

You must have very thick beer cans over there!!

I used the "E-Z lock" re-enforced cut off wheels, and the "E-Z lock" quick change adapter. The wheels do wear out fairly quickly, but not too bad. It took maybe 4 or 5 cutting wheels to make the S-mine. They also have a Fine-cut wheel also, for more precise work.

Cheers mate. I must have got the cheapy ones with my tool. I'll shop around. I don't make a habbit of cutting beer cans but sometimes the nights can be long!
