Sabotage crate

As a request from other thread I post a thread on sabotage crates found in the Czech Republic.
In one case there were four metal crates in one larger wooden box, in other cases there was only the metal box.
pic 24 is one typical crate content:
tape, wire residue, caltrops, matches, time fuse, det cord (igniters in the middle), matches, igniters, A C time switches, BZE 39 f Eihgr.39 (for nipolite charges),
Detonators No.8 (some in cardboard boxes in good condition some in ton so good condition, some in flat wooden box sealed with tape), detonatora for the mine and the AC switches in a wooden box covered with tape, railway initiator, PE No 2 sticks, PE no2 assembled in a rail destroying charge (we call it horseshoe charge), booster about 50g Np10, Schü. D.Mi 44, Nipolite Sprengkörper, Nipolite magnetic mine, nipolite soles, Flare incendiary 1lb, powder termite.

All crates had similar but not always the same content.

As you can see by the state of the detonators handling even unopen crates is NOT SAFE, there were two apartment buildings evacuated when the crates were uncovered and a lot of the stuff was destroyed on site. Always call the EOD, none of the stuff inside is worth the risk, not considering most of it is illegal to have anyway.

Sometimes the crates are called "Werwolf crates" but IMHO these were used or assembled by the Abwehr rather than werwolf.

Bob

I've seen an identical item to the one in the 5th and 6th photos from the bottom, made of Nipolit.

thanks for the photos, excellent reference.so is the nipolite magnetic mine cast from nipolite with the magnets set into it(ie.its not in a bakelite container like the british clam?)
this would be similar to the german pressure release switch that was also cast in nipolite
