Safety spoon force

I was wondering about the average minimum force to hold down a spoon on a grenade. In the osprey book Elite 100 - Axis Booby traps and Sabotage Tactics page 14 there is a photo of a Russian F-1 grenade with the spoon held down with a Browning hi power pistol, which is about 1.0 kg.
