SD2 Fuse Variants

(70)a

HI HARRY
Thanks for showing us your fuze i have a copy of Fuze news dated 15 th November 1944 thats mentions that fuze it reads

A Captured German document dated 20 th Jan 1944 describes the (70) a fuze but says its use against retreating enemy prohibited . Used for nuisance purposes and combating of targets , only for use behind the front lines .

It appeared that this fuze was disliked by the Germans too.!

On Specialist Auctions there is an SD2 fuze 41 for sale but with a steel gain, did they have steel gains rather than the usual bakelite type. I wouldn't mind knocking up a couple in steel if any one has any dimensions and the thread size.

Although that steel gaine would fit it wasnt made for the (41) Or any of the butterfly bomb fuzes, they were all as far as im aware were made of bakelite

.

Hello! I do not mean that the transmission load container original am! I know only from Bakerlit for fuzes of the SD-2 Harry
