Watch out for a buyer on SA by the handle of REDLANCER.
He bidded on some items I had on SA. Due to an error on my part I had to email him, apologise & come to an alternate arrangement with him getting a very good deal by way of compensation.
He has paid for everything & has acknowledged reeipt of the items but has now lodged a complaint through paypal & had the funds removed from my account.
I am not sure if this person hs not read/understood all the emails or is trying a scam but as I know many of you also trade through SA thought it best to warn you.
I am hoping he will do the maths & check his payments & emails & see he has got what we agreed - meanwhile whilst he sorts himself out I am out of pocket!!
 
Maybe a word to the moderator will help. Is this person a member here. Maybe use a separate account with paypal so there is nothing for them to take unless you intend them too.
 
I'm surprised PP hasn't frozen both accounts. Was the transaction ordnance related? If it was you might want to empty your account. It's coming.

Not only has this guy held payment but he has left neg feedback on SA as well. And he has done this before entering into any sort of dialogue to resolve the problem.
He is not replying to my emails so I think i will have to take this one on the chin.
I am led to believe the guy is a BOCN member.
 
name and shame them Hicky, if they are a BOCN member it may prompt them into reopening comms with you
 
I recently got ripped off on egun, I made payment for an item i won and the seller sent me no goods, no refund and didn't reply to any of my emails. It wasn't a lot of money but even so not a nice experience.

It is never nice to be ripped off, even worse if it is one of our forum members.

I hope that the person sees sense after reading this post and you get your transaction sorted out with payment sent to you.

Spotter - at present I cannot confirm the id of the BOCN member against that of the SA buyer so I do not want to name an innocent party by mistake.
I have passed on my suspicions to one of the site moderators so we will see what happens.
Personally I fail to see how people can get a kick out of being such aholes!!
I think I have a reasonable rep as a buyer & seller & I am always ready to admit mistakes & enter into a dialogue.
like I said I think I have to put this one down to experience and go with Darrens view. it is not a lot of money but to me principles & honouring a deal go further.

In no way do I hold BOCN in anyway obliged to deal with this matter.
This was a deal through an auction site NOT BOCN & the buyer happens to possibly be a member. The reason I have passed on this issue to a moderator is that after doing some trawling & looking at PM`s from other members this member may have changed his BOCN id in the last week - which to me is suspect.
as per thread title - it is a warning.
Jolly green - no idea as to what may happen with PP account - frankly my dear I don`t give a damn!! Cheques & cash are always good!! Cheers for the input though
 
Just to keep this within Queensbury Rules the person in question has not posted neg f/back on SA about me.
A complaint has been made to the Moderator on SA & the matter is under review.
On the other hand I have left negative Feedback for this person.
The person in question though has now ignored my emails. paypal response & SA dispute for over 36 hours & still has my items & money.
Bugger - I need a beer!!

just had a look at feedback and items sold ect,hope you don't mind mate,has the money been removed from your pay-pal account or just 'froze' while a dispute is ongoing?
Do you realise you can now report him for non payment to SA for each item as the sales are over two weeks old?

Is the dog in question just a buyer on SA or is he a seller also?
He needs to be steered clear of either way.
Do we know what country he's from?

@ Tony no probs - thats what feedback etc is for - Unfortunately I had made a cock up of the listings which I had not realised until it came to sorting invoice. I emailed immediattely & arranged to see what I could do.
consequently a deal for 8 items was agreed at a discount of about 15 plus I would absorb half the post cost by way of apology/compo. Not a bad deal I think?
The idiot then went & paid for the one item from SA avail & I think he has failed to read or ignored his mails from me, once deal was agreed (I thought) he then had the neck to try to weaddle 2 151 links out of me for free!! At present money is frozen but I have raised to claim as he is ignoring emails & phone no no good.
@ Jolly Green. This guy is Redlancer on SA a Mr Paul Bretts, he is a buyer as apparently he is a German Militaria dealer that is trying to branch out into ordnance. He is UK based (but you guys can have him!!)
 
Understand mate,since advising you to report him to SA a odd thing happened to me,some time ago I reported a SA member for non payment,got my selling fee back ect,then last night I noticed the same buyer had a bid on with one of my items,item now removed ect but it just shows that SA's strict policy of non payers are removed is a load of bollocks!
The buyer is Mark2011 so watch out for that one,another well established SA seller(and BOCN member) has had problems with this one also I believe.

Whilst to many this thread may be getting a bit long winded & tedious I think it just goes to show how useful (& powerfull?) it can be.
Apart from the obvious purpose of the site, it is good to see that it can be used to protect other members & possibly alienate those that are less desirable to the site.
 
Sorry to p!*s anyone off but to give a short update Paypal - even though I have proof of posting & track no- have given this guy one refund, he has now claimed for a refund on the additional private sale items. He does admit that he has recieved the one parcel containing the items but is now saying they are not up to description!!!
If PP give in to him I will be down what he has paid & my goods.
The guy is still not replying to my emails & I have offered to him & through paypal to pay his post costs & give full refund if he returns ALL that he has recieved from me.
To date he is still ignorng me. Also disappointed in SA as they have not got back to my complaint about him at all.
Basically now this guy is really trying it on so I feel it only fair to warn you all as he is a BOCN member - & yes I am very angry- his handles on here are waterloo1815 & ney1815. His civvy name is Paul Brett & he is in/near Ilkeston Derby.
 
I for one don't mind how long winded this thread is, there are quite a lot of us who sell our spares on Specialist Auctions and it is good to share the names and handles of bad buyers and seller. We are quite a small community here on BOCN even though we are from pretty much from all over the world, but the most important thing is that we trust each other and help each other. I feel that we have a very rare thing going on here and we need to protect it, we do not want dishonest people I would even go as far to say that what this person has done to Hicky is down right theft.
