Hallo,
the item for my ID quest is a strange 88mm projectile.
fuze max diameter is 55,25mm, total height 123,6mm, visible height 105mm.
Thread 47,9 mm outer diameter, 44,75 inner diameter.
On the picture the fuze is next to AZ 23 Pr
On the bottom arrows are visible.
The markings on the base of the fuze are a heart shaped leaf and a concave square (same as in the center of Rheinmetall logo)
Both shell and fuze are filled with tar.

The arrows point me in the German ammo, but could be something different.

Thanks, Bob.

Hello, this is not a 88 projectile, its a 3,7 inch British Projectile with a German fuze, 100% original, regards Ben

3,7" would be 94 mm and the fuze thread doesn't look british and is also not the german M50x3 - which fuze should fit inside this thread?

For example ZtZ M23 (t) had M48x2,5 thread, but the fuse base was still 60 mm in diameter, I think.

You are right, I meassured a thread pitch of ~2,5 mm and a fuze diameter of 55,6 mm from the image. The drawings of czech MG-R or MG-CR fuzes give a fuze diameter of 55,8 mm so these should fit very well. I think Bob can check in reality.
