Sub Calibre practice round

G'day. Posting this to ID for a mate.
He has a Sub Calibre practice round labelled:-
DM 38
Subcal. ammo
cal. 21,5
w/tracer

It is an 165mm long aluminium tube with a knurled bit on the end and quite a heavy thread.
The blue plastic projectile is 165mm long as well and is fin stablised.

I don't have any photo's but may be able to get some.

Hello Nick,
the German Army uses such a subcaliber device for 44mm Panzerfaust, the DM 38 indicates such a German model, but the caselenght from the one in use here is 155mm and not 165mm. Its also like you described with a tracer element but of course marked in German not in English - so guess its a similar subcaliber device for Export.
