grabbed some pics of Tank targets today ,not clearest quality as was in moving vehicle at the time,and a nice pic of cratered hillside
One looks very russian ,can anyone id the tanks from the images

great pics spotter that second tank has a long barrel wonder what tank it is

Nice pics !

That poor old range of yours takes a good pounding by the look of that hillside !

Looks like aluminium "splashes" on the turret of the British looking tank with the long barrel-I wonder if that is from Prac A.P.D.S. rounds ??

ill try call in and see range officer tomorrow and see if i can have a roam around after work to take some better pics
 
more than likely waff found lots of mortar rounds and debris in proximity of that area

This is what happens to left over Centurian Tanks in Australia.

Hit by 84mm RCL, 66 LAAW. Other targets arn't so lucky when hit by 105 HESH, APDS & HEAT from the Leopards.

Some Leopards are also being used as targets now for our Abrahms with their 120mm guns, unfortunately I havn't got pics.

Any Aussies out there with range pics of Leopards & other Cents?

Ok i got a load more pictures of the Targets a couple of hours ago ,Just like to thank the RLO at Otterburn Ranges for letting me have free roaming of the target area and allowing me to post the images here on BOCN
internets a bit iffy here so heres a quick taster,i will try post more later on

glad you like them Leeski,,im not into tanks but thought some of members would be intersted so spent couple hours dragging round ranges photographing stuff that looked interesting
 
I wonder where that T-55 came from, could it have been bought back from the first Gulf War or the Balkans?
