Who has more information about this English tin for detonators (blasting caps) that a frind of me cannot find any data on. It is a commercial product, a #6 blasting cap called Devil Brand. The tin is wrapped in red paper with a devil figure holding a trident as the trademark. The tin is dated 12/16.

To my knowledge JR Watson was an agent supplying explosives manufactured by other companies. The address in Queen Victoria Street London was the registered office of the Cooppal Powder Company which was a British subsidiary of the Royal Belgian Powder Factories. A number of other explosives suppliers/manufacturers had offices in this street in the late 1800's and early 1900's.
The tin contained Number 6 strength plain detonators for use with safety fuse. The detonators were tightly packed and then covered with fine sawdust which as the label states had to be removed before the detonator was used. Normally packed in quantities of 100 or 50.
