U-Boat container markings

Endel

Well-Known Member
Hi all!
I`ve got a 88 mm u-boat container, but I have no idea what means the markings out there, any ideas?

There are a N in the circle and the stripes painted orange also, I`ve been accentuated of those on a picture.

Thanks
E

The N probably means "Nebel".In Englisch Smoke.
The color orange maybe for fire guidance and not for putting up a smokescreen.

I`ve got one more container and there are also three stripes which painted red. Some markings are still visible 8,8 cm Spgr. Patr. 351 ?
