UK No4 Mk1 Pull Switch,
Developed by SOE primarily as a trip wire activated boobytrap switch ,this switch couls also be used to initiate mines flares demolition charges etc,
This device consists of a housing tube with two mounting eyes,the tube has an adapter screwed into one end and contains a spring loaded striker , a U shaped clip which holds the striker in the cocked position.A safety pin passes through the tube and the rounded head of the striker
Requiring a pull of 6-8lbs a pull on a trip wire attached to the U shaped clip will withdraw the clip which in turn releases the striker which is then forced under spring pressure into the percussion cap.
