30 550 (more commonly now 30M550) is the French designation of the DEFA/GIAT/Nexter revolver cannon firing 30 x 113B ammo (30M540 fired 30 x 97B ammo). TE is the code for DEFA's Toulouse factory. Don't know about AA.
 
Tony, Thank you for the quick response and the information. When found it was rusted pretty good and as you can see right where the head stamp was.
 
Hello,
Letters AA are for Air Air, that means for aerial fighting. Another cases are with the letters AS, Air Sol, that means for shooting from the aircraft to the ground. I think that on more recent cases this difference has disappeared.
