PROJO BASE.JPGUNKNOWN 155MM PROJO.JPG Found in the Arizona desert (YPG) and cannot find any information on this projectile. On projectile body: 155H DM719, DM1487A1. LOSRHU03E6272. On projectile base: DM1488, LOSRHU03A6281

Maybe it is an optical illusion, but does the fuzewell look like it is opened up as if an internal burster was blown out of it, like when it sometimes happens with WP projectiles?

German,DM719 finally ID,D Conducted EOD procedure and look what came out.2 SMART simulated Sub munitions DM719.jpg

Good to know.

I would not say that these are SMART submunitions, because SMART is manufactured by GWS = Gesellschaft fr Intelligente Wirksysteme mbH.

The sub munitions shown are Mass simulators, they simulate the actual SMART, submunition

@blu45bob

how comes that know the content so well, and why are they not equal in size?
What ist the sense of such a projectile without parachutes on the SMART?
Was the container supposed to open?
