Unknown projectile.

Hi All,

Can any one help with this one for me please?

length approx 21cm,
dia across base approx 74mm,
partually hollow inside with remains of threaded hole,(gathering its base fused),
Strange looking drive band.
I cant see any markings im afraid.

Will leave it with you, as im stumped lol.

Have had a mention that it could be quite early, or poss experimental.

the only one I can say it's that this driving band look strange on a belgian band, era WW1.

Many thanks for your post. Are you saying it could poss be Belgian? I admit the band is strange, well not one i have come across before. Looking at fired bands sometimes confuses me, if not simple lol. Am i right in presuming that the bands would have been one main but with two paralell raised bands on top?

On this drawing you shall see the typical belgian driving band.
I say not that it is the only model, but this one is typical
