Hi all, I picked this up in a junk store a few years ago and finally have gotten around to sharing it with the Forum. It appears to be a presentation piece. The damaged name plaque says: MAJ. GEN. F.A. HANSEN, COMMANDING GENERAL, U.S.ARMY MUNITION COMMAND, 1.NOV. 1962-31. MAY 1967 FROM PROJ. MGR. FOR MORTAR AMMO. FUZE, M525 - XM717.
Although the plaque is damaged, I couldn't refuse it as pawn shop was pretty much giving it away. The fuze is marked: LOT MA-2-6 5- 55 FUZE PO T319. It appears complete. The tail section is in cast aluminum. I assume this is for the 60 mm mortar used during the Vietnam War.
Any additional information is most welcome.
