What does this symbol indicate/mean?

Can anyone tell me what the symbol on the submunition in the last picture in the link below means/indicates. (Within the circle)

It is a Russian letter "И", the 10th letter of Russian alphabet.

What is its relevance to this sub?

This is way out of my area of interest, but there is a Russian word "имитационная" which starts with the same letter. It means "imitation", something which mimics, like a dummy or a practice ammo. This is a totally wild guess on my part.
