Hi all:
I need help with this one. Id like to know why it has a red band around body and estimate value on the collectors market, and be honest with value, please. It has been offered to me. See that it is a matching body/level.

Hello Miguel,on british mills grenades the white paint would indicate practice,i have recently seen one for sale with the red band on specialist auctions described as a BELGIAN practice mills grenade, apparently the UK sold a lot of surplus grenades to Belgium,
Looking it up further on Dave Sampsons site,i found the following confirming this.. "Belguim Practice Grenade used with smoke det set. These grenades have the filler screw removed the det tube cut so when the det set is struck smoke is emmited from the filler hole to show where the grenade landed."
The one on spec auctions is at 35.00 practice grenades i have had have all been around this price

I would confirm what Spotter has just said as there looks to be a hole in the lever and possibly another, cant see too well in the picture, just below the pinhole. These holes were used for string so that when the pin was pulled and the gren thrown, the lever was not lost. I would add a piece of rough white string and remove the filler screw.

95 euro (84.00)seems a lot ,i personally would not pay more than 45 GBP

Well, really Mills grenades are not my center point, but I was offered that one and I want to ask you about. I already have one Mills dated with each year of war, just missing the very hard to find base plug 1939 dated. Thank you for your help.
