WW1 4" Drill Round

Got this from EBay the other day. It's sort of obvious what it is, but it only seems to be the head of the round. Would this be for a gun that used a 'bag' type charge?
It's 4" across(!) and 15" in length.DSCF6132.jpgDSCF6126.jpgDSCF6130.jpg

Hi Dodgydave, that's a very nice drill round, the service round would have had a bag charge,if you ever let it go,i would be interested as I collect the drill rounds.

Thanks for showing the pictures,
MICK

Glad you like it! I've never seen one before, they're usually the complete round type. Any clue as to the maker? JPW
