Some questions I'm hoping to find answers to.

What country made the projectile and what type of projectile is it?

What do the colours on the projectile mean?

What does a complete projectile with fuze look like and what does the cartridge case look like?

What do the words stencilled in white on the side of the projectile mean?

What do the following markings on the side mean?

W
Cross
+S

What do the following markings on the base mean?

4
6 or 8 within Cross
X
IV or W

The projectile’s measurements:

244 mm’s in length;
118 mm’s across the base;
113 mm’s across the outside of the opening;
105 mm’s across the inside of the opening.

IT IS A SWISS MADE PROJECTILE,LOOKS LIKE SHRAPNEL OF 105mm Cal, Look at the bottom of the inside, providing it is completely empty,you should see a "ledge" near the bottom for a pusher plate to sit on,the powder cup would be underneath the pusher plate

yes, it's a swiss 12 cm Granatschrapnell 1913.

The white text reads:

Dreifachznder
Fuse a triple effet
