I had a Commanding Officer who on a celebratory occasion, emptied his whole .380" Webley up in the air.
He then refilled the cylinder and started again, but this time the round functioned but the cylinder would not turn because the bullet had only partially entered the barrel.
It was found that instead of rimmed .380" revolver rounds,he had used rimless .38 ACP ammunition.
All the bullets were still in the barrel and had to be drilled out by REME.
