I assumed, wrongly, that it was for an AA shell! Although it says the idea was old, it was new to me! A drawing refers to a Robinson Couple. Surely this should be labelled as a Robinson Cup (Anemometer) for operating one of the safety devices?
Very interesting-a trifle on the large side for most bombs, I would have thought!
