5"/38 for MK XII USN gun cartridge case headstamps - help please!
Hi all, Looking for some further info. Not seen this in person, as it were, image sent by friend for ID. Cartridge case found on a beach, W of Scotland. Appears to be for US 5"/38 Mk XII, but with Mk V stamp. Most likely RN ship, e.g. one of US built Ruler/Ameer Class escort carriers, en...- Ness Battery
