Unknown usage of primer. Primer, percussion, Q.F. cartridges No. 9(3), 5 and 5/8 inches high. Made 1940, filled 1941 in January by CY. There is a contractors trademark. Lot number 21.
What was it used for?
JAPANESE NAVY Mk. 1 CASE PERCUSSION PRIMER, MODEL 4. USED IN MANY OF THE LARGE CALABRE ARTILLERY CASES FROM 76.2MM UPWARDS. MADE AT THE KURE NAVAL ARSENAL IN 1941.
