Hi, Ian here from NZ. Trying to find out what a 0.5 inch Vickers round would be worth to buy and are there many on the market around the UK. Thanks Ian
The 12.7 x 81 rimless Vickers and the Vickers HV 12.7 x 120 are not rare and are often available in NZ through the NZ cartridge collector association auctions.
If you are a member you can bid (or maybe arrange for a member you know to bid or let you know if any come up for sale).
Value depends on the buyer but expect $80 minimum and more for the HV or special loadings.
They often turn up in the Australian Cartridge Collectors Assn auctions as well. I think there will be a few of both types in our Mid-Year auction in May 2025.
