1 pounder dummy

I thought these photos of a 1 pounder dummy round would be of interest.

The case appears to be blackened, would that be the original colour?

Could well be and nickle plating on the projectile, presume a solid plug and not a fuze. Not quite as obvious as the wooden headed kind though.

Of Course ! It is likely a "commercial" item and was supplied with the guns to whom ever bought them as part of the kit.
