Does anyone have a photo or accurate diagram of the 105mm APFSDS-T M900 projectile or sub caliber long rod penetrator? I have used google, but none of the drawings provide enough detail. I am specifically interested in the design of the tip of the long rod penetrator and how the ballistic cap is attached.

Cheers,

Just a guess, but the Tungsten Carbide penetrators are manufactured in a teardrop shape, with the widest part forward. That shape is surrounded by the rest of the body of the penetrator. So, you could say that the WC is swaged inside the outer body. I suspect that the DU dart is manufactured in the same way.
