105MM FD Cutaway

Hi everyone, just picked this up, a 105mm FD cut in half.

I want to make it into a proper cutaway by putting a piece of acylic over the front. Does anyone know what the filler should look like?

Could probably be close with a yellowish-tan colored filler. I've left mine as is. May do the "red edge", tho. Yours looks good like that.

There quite interesting seen cut in half, just needs half a fuze to complete the look. I may try to stand it up in an empty case i have.
