A friend has this shell case which he is trying to indentify. Can anyone help?

It's a German made case for the 105mm tank gun as used in Leopard 1. Basically the same gun in Centurion, M60 and early Abrams.

Correct and the German army shot this also in TA Castlemartin /Pembrokeshire.

Well we live about 10 mins drive from castlemartin so makes sense.

Its a british made for the german army from 1969, marks with L7A2(Royal Ordnance License) UK and the arrow stamp and i think this case was for the APDS Version.
