HONOURED MEMBER RIP
Howdy Guys,

Happy New Year to you all.

Could someone tell me what was the 12Pdr 8Cwt, where it was used, when & the cart. length please.

The one I am enquiring about looks like the normal 12Pdr 12Cwt but shorter with the seal holding crimps at the cart mouth.

Was it also portruding primed?

Thanks.

Ozzi.

12pr lengths

12pr 8cwt cases are 198 long and look like short 12cwts in every aspect. Might be worth doing a search as I think this has come up before. 2pr

Protruding primer

can somebody explain to me how it doesn't blow out of the breech ? Is it screwed in after the breech is closed ? It seems like an absurd way to do things, was there a reason for it ?
